The Thule bicycle fork mounts worked great. It was very easy to install, I simply screwed them down to the floor boards of a utility trailer using some dry wall screws and away we went. I drove from New Orleans to North Carolina and the bikes remained secure on the trailer the entire trip. They worked great.

We have a Honda CRV and needed a way to transport bikes. Since the spare tire is mounted on the back of the vehicle it is harder to find a bike rack for it. We don't have a hitch, so it would be very costly to get one installed and then pay for a rack. We bought two sets of the fork mounts and installed them on a 2X6 piece of scrap wood (51 cents at Home Depot) which fits perfectly inside the back of the CRV. Problem solved for not much fuss or money!

Ordered three to mount on two wood planks 4-feet long (2x12) and put in back of truck. Transporting three bikes is easy now. Planks offer a very stable mount for the bicycles. Placed two fork mounts on one plank and the third one in the center of the second plank. two bikes face forward and the other back.

I used a piece of plywood, staggered two of these, and put in the back of a minivan. Both bikes are inside and stable.



This mount is superior to both Diamond brand models, and probably better than those from Hollywood and Pyramid. I like the heavy base and the position of the fork receiver centered over the base.

The mount works fine, it holds the bikes firmly. I installed them over a carrying cart and over 100 Kmh the bikes kept firmly attached to it.

Easy install; took minutes to adjust and rack my bike. Bought for a '08 Tacoma short bed and had no problems with it becoming loose when I took it on the highway. It holds my bike securely and tight. The rack has a turn-key lock system that prevents anyone from twisting it off your truck bed and running away with it when you're out riding. The fork blocks you mount your bike on allow any type of cable lock to pass through them and give you the extra security. The fork blocks do not lock so I recommend buying a good cable lock.

The Thule bedrider 822 has worked well for me. I drive a Honda Ridgeline and the bedrider was a good match for it. I have been able to transport up to two bicycles (A Giant and a Raleigh)with no problems. Of course, I further secure them with tie downs (peace of mind). As far as the delivery was concerned, The Bike Rack delivered as promised and on a timely manner. Shopping through Amazon is the only way buy things these days for me.

This was almost exactly what I was looking for in a bike rack for my pickup truck. No drilling. It is held in place by tension and rubber pads. I drove about 700 miles with two bikes on it without any issues. The only thing I would like to see is a way to actually lock the bikes to the rack. If I could have done that I would have given this a 5 star rating.

Easy to install and remove. Have not used it with 3 bikes but it looks like the plastic saddle closest to the vehicle would make it a very tight fit. Works very well with one or two bikes though ( I have the 3 bike model). I use it all the time and it frequently is on the car when I am not using it. Installs and removes in minutes and does not damage the car finish. This is not my first Allen bike product and I have always been satisfied.

For around $50, you won't find an easier rack to place on your car nor one with this quality. Anyone using this style of rack will need to use bungies or other mechanisms to make sure you bikes don't turn into each other or the car and scratch. It's the nature of the beast. I have a Mazda 3 Hatchback. Had to attach bottom to the 'tow hooks' under the car since the bumper is plastic. Thankfully the straps were long enough!

Easy to set up and held securely in high-wind over long trip. The down side? It scratched the paint on my trunk. The bar that sits on top of the trunk doesn't have enough padding to keep the middle from scratching once loaded. We had two adult bikes...I imagine if we'd added a third, the scratching would be worse.

So far this works well but I have only been using it for one bike. The installation instructions were a bit confusing as you have to keep flipping to the back of the instruction book to get "fit tips" for your specific vehicle type. But after I figured out what I was doing wrong and got everything straightened out it went on ok.

I've owned this bike rack for approximately a month now and I am very happy with my purchase. Thule is a great product and I'm very happy that I purchased this bike rack. It's very easy to install and fits practically all makes and models of cars. The manual did not recommend the bike rack for my boyfriend's 2001 Ford Taurus, but it fit fine and we were comfortable with traveling with the bike rack on his car. We only checked to see if the car would fit my car before we purchased the bike rack, but everything worked out fine. I really like the material, sturdyness, and overall quality of this product.



I've read that someone or a few people weren't able to fit three bikes on this rack. We have 2 adult bikes and 1 children's bicycle and all three of the bikes fit fine. We've also traveled with 3 adult bikes and the fit was good as well. Just make sure you read the instructions and tips that come with the bike rack and you should have no problems.

The Thule model is well made, has sturdy straps with good buckles and an easy way of tying down to the trunk sides and bottom. I use it for a 27 lb bike and a 37 lb three wheel recumbent. The rubber saddles and straps are good. For my heavy recumbent bike I had to place hose clamps on the bars to prevent the saddles from moving. The bars holding the bikes can be rotated down for storage but with a little difficulty in pressing the two buttons to release the arms.



I bought the three bike unit because it has a higher listed weight capacity but I suspect it is the same product as the two bike unit but with longer bars.



The saddles and straps save time. I no longer need to spend much time using bungee cords. It is important to get the trunk side and bottom straps snug so they don't loosen on the road.

I called Thule and got an answer to my question about the height of the assembly.



This is a good product and I am glad I bought it.

This bike rack was very, very easy to install. When I put my bikes on it for traveling and strap them down there is no movement at all. The only thing I had to overcome initially was that the handlebar for the bike closest to the camper would lean against the back of the camper. I eleminated this by placing the inside bike in the closest rail to the bumper so it leans toward the rear. After this minor adjustment it really works great. I would recommend this to any camper with a square bumper on the rear, and have.
